Rosalia

Rosalia Vila is an Spanish pop and flamenco artist. As a teenager, she has worked both in traditional and popular music. However, her music interests have widened to include soul, hip-hop and hip-hop. Pepe Haichuela, a flamenco guitarist and renowned musician has described the voice of the young singer as sharp with sweetness and grit. Following her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned the singer an Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist her 2018 follow-up El Mal Querer was a major critical and commercial breakthrough that topped Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart and finally winning the Grammy. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd, was released in 2021. The third album by Motomami offered songwriting collaborations with a variety of producers and artists such as Cory Henry and James Blake. The release date was the 20th of March, 2022 in the wake of the live performance by Chicken Teriyaki by Saturday Night Live. Rosalia performed solo on the show for the very first time on the show. In addition to winning three additional Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia also became the first female to be awarded the Latin Album of the Year twice.
